I couldn't agree more...rain on an umbrella, wind in the leaves, waves on the shore; all notes in nature's splendid symphony. And as nature's collective symphony, each have the ability to calm us and bring us to a silent place in our minds, a place of peace and serenity. Thank you for bringing that peace and serenity to my visitors and me.

internal noise
by: Scott 1

I find work is a great way to quel those voices in my head. I mean the voices we all have in our heads. Like the repeating of a conversation that may have happened earlier, in ones head. Or something bad someone has said many years ago about you or to you. Like "how can you be so stupid?" Or reading aloud in ones thoughts, something earlier read. Like talking to ones self only without actually speaking.

getting away from that noise is important to me in the quest for some inner piece. Music is helpful and naturally the sounds of nature. But also keeping busy, not avoidance or compulsive grinding work, but actually doing something you love in the form or work and accomplishment. Even doing the dishes and sweeping the floor.

Internal dialog can be managed. Now that is quiet. Just thought Id share.
