I remember...

by Linda Settles
(Rustburg, VA)

It is gloomy outside and I remember
gloomy days of times gone by.
It is raining today and I know the rain
will bring the flowers out of their graves.
Sometimes the gloom that drizzles down
comes in seasons from skies that frown.
And I wonder when the sun will burn
through the dismal skies and finally turn
the lights on in this world of mine,
where flowers dance and bees keep time
with the rhythm of the Universe
and grace my days upon the earth.

"Grace"
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Linda, while I can't speak directly to the "grace" of your days during this gloomy time, I CAN speak to the "grace" your encouraging and heartfelt words provide so many of the visitors on this site. I for one thank you for sharing so much of yourself.

If gloomy skies, and days of rain
are for you, dear Linda, filled with pain
when you long again to see the sun
and with Mother Nature feel at one.
Remember, when all else is grey
that there's something NONE can take away -
For there's one thing all can see is true...
It's the SUNSHINE that's inside of YOU.
