I agree with you. You are both better off without your birth mothers. If there is a silver lining that I see, it's the fact that had you not endured and survived what you did, you would not have been there for the daughter you adopted. You would not be able to relate to her in the same way. From what you've written, you broke the cycle of abuse, and then found a way to use what you survived in a positive way. I commend and applaud you! And I also have the utmost respect and admiration for your aunt and uncle. For there persevereness, determination, patience and their ability to love. What amazingly wonderful people to have in your life. And you certainly deserved to have such people in your life. Keep growing, Sakura. Keep making a difference in your daughter's life. You have come through some of the worse forms of abuse, yet you have thrived. That speaks volumes of your own strength. You are an inspiration. I send you and your daughter love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Hi Sakura M. and daughter (starlight)

I receive stories from Darlene nearly every day to read and comment on should I choose to. This story has caused me to go to tears long before I finished even a few lines. I am astonished to understand the full meaning and fully comprehend what Sakura has put on paper. I have read stories written by the abused that number some 4 or 5 thousand. I have never read anything so inhumane as what I am reading here. How you survived and have been able to put on paper what you went through speaks to the human quality that only people can accomplish. I will never forget what I have read here, this story will dominate in my mind what I have learned about abuse by humans. The remarkable thing is that Sakura has become a very rare person even after all he has been through he still can do the right thing by humanity's standards. I know what physical and mental abuse is I have lived with its effects for some 75 years. All the best to you Sakura you certainly deserve it.
