Unconditional love...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Emme, you showed your brother the truest form of unconditional love. It doesn't matter what others think or believe; the path you've taken is the right one for you. No one ever knows what is right or wrong for anyone else. Indeed, most don't even know what's right for them.

Thank you for sharing more of your story, and that of your brother Nikki. What the two of you shared, as inhumane and horrific as it was, has created an unbreakable and unshakable bond. May the two of you continue to find peace and comfort with each other.

I'm a helping hand
by: Kayla

I don't have a brother and I've never been severly abused a lot but the one and only time I've been abused was when my aunt tried to kill me. Because I'm spoiled compared to you and all the other kids on this site, After she did that she made me feel like I didn't belong and I tried to kill myself. Like 2 years later I finally told someone and my aunt went to jail. She told the cops she was fine and good but she got out and started killing, robbing people again. If you read my story of me helping other little kids..... you can see that I thought that "I don't want to grow up and be like her."
Also I have epilepsy, so I didn't have a lot of friends and I concentrated on school and played sports, that got her off my mind. And I made a lot of friends.
Do you play sports? are you doing good in school?

At the risk of offending Emme by posting this here, I must tell you, Kayla, that your story came to me incomplete, as if in mid-sentence. If you could submit again using the form on my child abuse stories page I would then be able to post it. As it stands now, I cannot.

Emme, my apologies for writing to Kayla here. I mean no disrespect. I've done so because I cannot connect with her otherwise. The reason I believe it's the same Kayla who sent me the story I referred to above is because the details within her comments to you are the same as those in the story I received. Without her comment to you, I wouldn't have known. I do hope you understand.
