You've broken the cycle of abuse; you can be so proud of that. Clearly, your parents are deeply disturbed. I'm glad to hear you are putting up boundaries with your parents. This is SO important, not just for your sake, but also for the sake of your children. If your mother is still raging, she is a risk to your children. Do what you must in order to protect both your Self and your children. I send you love, light and healing energy, Cindy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

hi - your story has a lot of similarities with my own. mine wasn't as severe, but along the same lines. i am also being helped by God but i have trouble letting Him in due to the hardness inside from my childhood. congratulations and blessings to you! and thanks for the psalms quote. i had just been wondering about this very subject yesterday, and there was the quote from you! you deserve everything good in your healing and in life. congrats for deciding to be a great mom and following thru with it. it's hard to not just follow the pattern you grew up with - i know this.
