I'm so proud of you for having the courage to speak up and report what this uncle did to you. In all likelihood, you've now stopped him from sexually abusing another little boy. If there is one thing I will share with you here it's that you can't tie your healing and recovery into the outcome of a trial. Know going forward that "justice" may not come in the form that you hope it will. If the legal system does not find him guilty, that doesn't mean that they're saying what happened to you didn't happen to you. All it means is that there isn't enough evidence to convict. What's important is that you not allow yourself to be re-victimized by such an outcome. You know the truth. You not only lived it, you lived through the repercussions. Lean on the support system you have in place, including your counselor. This will be a very trying time. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
