Thank you for sharing...

I thank you for sharing your story here, Schyular. I do hope you are in some form of counselling to help you deal with the emotional turmoil of growing up the unfavoured one, and then having to endure sexual abuse at the hands of a man who was supposed to protect you and keep you safe from harm.

I can feel your pain
by: Nikki

Schyular, I can understand your pain. Though I am a man and I have never been raped myself, I have been a witness to my sister's rapings. I can see in your writing that you are trying to brush this off, And that is alright. If you are in a safe place, then forgetting or ignoring is perfectly fine. But I would like to offer you a bit of advice: Listen to Darlene. Counseling may seem strange or uneeded, but it will help. I was dead set against counseling at first, but after taking the advice from Darlene, I have found that she was right: Counseling does help, even if it's painful at first. The hardest part has actually passed, believe it or not. You told your story, and the first time is always the hardest. So now you will find it easier to speak of the things that have happened to you. I would also like to extend a thanks to your boyfriend. He showed courage and love at a crucial point in time. Such an act does not go unpraised, by anyone. I want to tell him that he is a real man, one that is deserving of such a special woman. And you truley are a special woman.
Godbless,
Nikki
