Yours is truly a story of inspiration and hope when you consider that you are, and have, continued to overcome the very real physical effects of child abuse and that you are in a safe and loving home now. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. And always remember, your Past is just that, your Past. There is only the present moment, so embrace it with love and gratitude.

I'm glad you made it out!!!
by: Amanda

Dear Sarah, Your story made me cry!!!! I am 17 years old and starting a senior project about child abuse. I cannot begin to understand what went on or why this happened to you but i am extremely saddened by it. The things I've learned that people do to children shocks me everyday. What happened to you is beyond wrong and it kills me to know that you're not the first and wont be the last. I'm so relieved that you made it out alive but even though you did it does not compensate what had gone on during your early childhood. I'm deeply sorry and I'm so gad you made it!!!
