I'm delighted that you are no longer in that environment, that you are now in a safe place. Many do not believe that mother's can sexually abuse their child, especially a daughter. I dealt with this issue just two days ago on the following thread on this site: Mother-on-Daughter Sexual Assault It's even more unusual that a mother would be prosecuted for, convicted of, and serve time for sexual abuse against a daughter; though mother's who offend most definitely should face the full force of the law. I'm happy to learn that you understand that what your mother did was not your fault. Keep believing it's not your fault, because it isn't your fault and never will be your fault. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

brave of you and good for the justice sustem
by: My Two Cents

I am so glad that you spoke out and that you were helped. I am glad that the criminal justice system worked....it usually doesn't seem to in these cases, unfortunately.

Nothing that happened was your fault, it is all on your mom. I hope you continue to receive assistance and love from your family and counsellors.

Be well.

My Two Cents.

Firstly i would like to say i am very proud of you for speaking out . as for the cerebral palsy my boyfriend has the same thing . it effects his knees and how he walks . he is able to walk though . what you mom did was entirely wrong ! if she wanted that she could have went to a grown man its disgusting to do that to a child , her OWN daughter ! as i said im proud of your courage !
