 Guys like your mother's husband are cowards...

Paola, I'm glad you are now in a safe place, away from a man who has so little regard for you and your well-being. I can understand you being afraid of him wanting to take revenge; and though that is always possible, guys like him are usually cowardly. That's why they pick on children who can't defend themselves. When the authorities get involved, they get the reality check they need. If you ever see signs that he might be abusing your sisters, report it to ensure they stay safe. And when you need to someone to talk to, besides Ms P, consider contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the abuse and the fears you are still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting if you ever have the need to disclose abuse. Paola, well done, you had a trusting and loving teacher who cared about your welbeing as a child. She's your hero, your angel from on high in diguise, she's a good woman. with a woman's heart just like Darlene. Hi Paola, Darlene sure wants what is the best for you read her comment, heed her words, she knows waht being abused is all about. She was a victim herself now in her victory over it she cares about you and all who a blessed and lucky to fin her site. Hi Paola, act on her advice, her love words to you from her heart. seek out with the help of your cook teacher a counsellor/therapist. don't be afraid you can tell and talk to them in total confidence you'll find you'll be jumping for joy after speaking with them. Always believe in yourself
