We do not believe in the same God...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

While I'm delighted to learn that you are moving on with your life after enduring such horrific abuse, I do not believe as you believe. I do not believe in a vengeful and judgmental higher power. I do not believe that a higher power—God—metes out punishment, in this life or otherwise. If that were the case, God wouldn't be a higher power; God would instead be human, because vengeance and verdicts are human traits. Yes, there is all sorts of scripture than can be quoted to support a God who metes out justice, but I do not believe those words actually come from that higher power; rather, I believe they come from a power misused, a human power misused. I believe that words such as these are of a God misunderstood. God wouldn't be God if He passed judgment on us and then punished us. If that were the case, God would be man.

Whatever the reasons for illness of any kind, I can only hope that you find peace and joy in your own life. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Even animals would never treat their young so sadistically
by: Anonymous

I'm so sorry that you didn't have a good family and I know what it's like to have a disturbed father and an equally disturbed mother who literally took pleasure in being used as a slave by that sick excuse of a man who should've loved you and cherished you and even protected you in the first place. I really hope those sick individuals for parents will someday get incarcerated for all those terrible crimes that they committed against you. Have you tried counselling? Be brave, sweetheart, and stay strong.
