To Me for Marie:
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

You are a very good friend, and you know by personal experience what it will take for Marie to be firmly planted along the road to healing and recovery. I also understand that we must meet people exactly where they are; and until Marie is ready to hear the words you're trying to relay, she won't be ready for forgiveness. And to those visitors reading this comment, especially those of you who cannot even comprehend the idea of forgiveness, understand that forgiveness is for you not your abuser. Forgiveness does not say that what happened to you was okay; rather, it says I will no longer allow what you did to me control my life any longer. Only when you are ready to do this will the forgiveness release you from the anger, hate and hostility. Me for Marie, continue to be there for your friend, and when she's ready to forgive, you'll be there to support and congratulate her. Thank you for sharing Marie's story with my visitors and me.

Oh, and just one other thing I'd like to clear up: molestation, when it involves penetration, IS rape, brutal or otherwise.
