Child Abuse Story From Matthew K

Physical and Humiliating Abuse: 
My friend showed me this website and said I should write to you about my trouble. I'm 12 now, but when I was 7 I had to move in with my uncle and aunt and cousin. I don't even know who my dad is, and my mom is always very sick and lives with my grandmother in Ohio. My uncle is my mom's older brother, and they took me when my mom got real sick.

My aunt Maggie and cousin Heather who is only 17 are very mean to me. My uncle Dave has never hit me but lets them punish me when I get in trouble. I know I'm not that good a lot of times but when I get spanked they always make me take off my pants and underwear and sometimes, and sometimes they make me take everything off. This has been going on since I first moved in with them, and now that I'm getting older, it is more embarrassing.

Two weeks ago on a Saturday me and my friend Josh got caught stealing a model car. The police took me and Josh home, and my aunt sent me to my room when the cops were there.

My friend Josh is getting punished too, but nothing like I am. He said they shouldn't do that to me either, and that even his mom said it is abuse.

Matthew, stealing a car must have consequences, but what you described to me in your story is at the very least cruel and excessive punishment. The fact that your 17-year-old cousin is a part of these punishments and that you have been bound goes way beyond discipline; that IS abusive.

If these things are happening to you, report it to your local child protective services agency. Contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting and give you the number to call where you live.

well writing the story was the hardest for me but when i read the other stories i had enough courage that i wrote my story.well i know how hard it is im 13 and it was very hard for me to tell people the only person i told this stuff to is my boyfriend he understands why i cant tell.I know it is very hard to tell but you have to or they will one day go to far hopefully not.
well its my opinion.
