The visitors who come here know that sexual abuse of children, including male children, is not rare at all; it is all too common. What makes it so much worse is when a child does disclose and a parent doesn't believe that child. You were assaulted by a pedophile, and then betrayed and abandoned by the woman you turned to, the woman who was responsible for making sure you stayed safe, the woman who gave birth to you. It's just not that easy to "get over it". People who tell you that are just plain ignorant and aren't worth another thought. Please seek out some form of counselling or therapy in order to deal with the effects of being abused and then being denied a voice. You deserve that kind of help, Matt. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
