You were a targeted child, very likely for the reasons you stated. Just know and understand that none of what happened was your fault. You did nothing wrong. I can't even begin to imagine how horrendous the abuse must have been for the principal and your teacher to threaten your mother with removal in those years. I too grew up in those years when one practically had to kill or half kill a child for that child to be removed from the home. You had two rescuers in those two women, that's for sure. And though your mother resorted to using only emotional abuse against you after that rescue, you were being emotionally AND physically abused before that. You were, and still are, worthy of dignity and respect and love. And though you didn't get that from your abusive mother, you can always give it to your Self. You are SO much more than what you were taught to believe. You CAN get beyond this, Marie. Meet your Self where you are. Love your Self unconditionally. Find things to be grateful for in your life. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
