Your fiance is blessed to have someone like you in his life. You truly are a wonderful, compassionate and giving person. A--- (I withheld his name to ensure privacy) has a long road ahead of him. He needs help to deal with the repercussions of such harsh brutal abuse. I do hope he either in counseling or plans to enter counseling. Some form of counseling, coupled with your unwavering encouragement and support, his path along the road to healing and recovery—grueling as it will likely be—is one that will ultimately lead to the happiness he deserves. Happiness you both deserve. Thank you for sharing your fiance's story with my visitors and me.

Can I just say that it is an amazing thing you've done...being there to support A---. I'm very happy that he has had someone to be there and care for him and understand. As someone who has been abused, I know how hard it is to come across someone who can understand and be patient. Thank you for being an amazing person, and I hope with all of my heart that your fiance can find complete peace.
