At your own pace...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Consider this a safe place to tell your story, Sandra, a place to do so at your own pace. Thank you for sharing more of it with my visitors and me.

Thank you
by: Sandra

I just want to take this time to thank you! From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!! For giving people like us a place to come and FREELY express ourselves....those stories I wrote I had then written for a while but could not put them up....

My sister was the one to introduce me to your site and as i read more and more stories I build a little more courage...then came the decision to place my name or not....and I am glad that i did...although it hit me like a ton of bricks when i saw my first story...i guess i just wasnt prepared...mentally...you know?

But placing my real name was the second best decision that i have made...writing was the first...anyhow, it made it REAL to ME!!

THIS is MY STORY!!!!

THANK YOU AGAIN, Dar!!

From Darlene: You are SO welcome, Sandra. Thank YOU. And keep writing...it truly can be incredibly cathartic.

I Understand Your Confusion.
by: Linda

I'm sorry you were separated from your mother at such a young age. Maybe if the situation your family was in was explained to you it might have helped you to adjust to your living arrangments better. You must have been scared to be away from your mom. As for that child molester uncle you had, dying would be good for him! The word torture comes to my mind, because my uncle sexually molested me at the age of nine. He died with lung cancer and deserved every minute of the agony he went through. Maybe the day will come soon and you will get the courage to turn him in. It is so hard to find someone to believe you when you do tell. But there are agencies out there that will listen. By your story you sound very angry. Don't let it control your life. This website was the first time I ever told about my abuse and it really helped me. Thank you for sharing your story with the rest of us abuse victims.....
