Despair and depression...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Emma, you were not to blame for any of these molestations. You were betrayed and violated by your "uncle," taken advantage of by your 13-year-old cousin, and further violated by your 20-year-old cousin. I can't shake the sense that you somehow feel as though you are a magnet for sexual assault. You say you're 18 and tired, deeply tired...this sounds to me as though you are entering into the depths of despair and depression. Please get help for yourself. Consider contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone; you so desperately need someone to talk to. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. If it is at all possible, please seek out some form of counselling in order to help you deal with the residual of what happened to you, as well as the depression you are now experiencing. You didn't deserve to be treated as an object to be fondled and assaulted; but you definitely deserve to get help. But only YOU can get this help for yourself. Treat yourself better than any of these 3 ever did. Just don't give up on yourself.

With complete commemoration for your honesty

I am glad that you can now face up to the truths of the events and acctually say they were not right...

I advise you teach others about the consequences and help them to understand and maybe let go of the events( go to therapy )

Good luck on holiday

I have edited your comment above. Please, if you can't refrain from passing judgment when offering your comments, then you are not welcome here. I strongly suggest you read the various information pages on this site to get a better understanding of what children go through when they are being abused. You yourself need to learn the consequences.
