Whatever messages you received growing up in that environment were lies. You were and are worthy of love, dignity and respect. Much of what you describe about your own childhood is emotional abuse. Emotional abuse leaves the deepest scars. And those scars often re-open as full-fledged wounds again when triggers occur. Your son being "man-handled" is one of those triggers. His present condition is another. You didn't say how old your son is, but no matter his age, it has to be extremely challenging to deal with. I can only hope whoever did this to him has been criminally charged and pays the price. Please reach out for any and all resources available to you in your community to help you through what you endured as a child and what you're now dealing with with your son. I send you both love, light and healing energy, Charlene. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
