Child Abuse Story From Char

by Char
(Ireland)

I am a 15 year old girl 16 in too months abused by my half brother! My parents are very caring and protective of me and my too younger sisters. My story has only happened to me and not my sisters thankfully. About three years ago my mum told us that we (my sisters and I) have a half brother, i thought it was great as ive always wanted a brother, my sisters were not so sure whether they wanted a brother or not.

My mum organised a day for us too meet my half brother, who is 25 years of age, we all went, we all enjoyed meeting him then my mum left us with him for a couple hours while she went shopping. My sisters were playing in my half brothers garden and i stayed inside as i didnt feel that well. my half brother came in and asked if i was okay i sed yes then he started to rub my shoulders i felt awkward and told him to stop, then he slapped me round the face and told me i can do anything i like to you in my house, i started to cry, he then hugged me and said sorry i forgived him. my mum started dropping us round my half brother alot more as she thought he could watch us when she needed to go shopping or work, well i went to my half brother house again he let my sisters play out the front i wasnt allowed he sed i was busy i would be out later, he grabbed me and dragged me too hes room and cuffed me to the bed and he used too beat my chest he told me not to tell anyone or he would kill me, i was so scared i didnt tell my mum until the other week she went and confronted him, he denied it. my mum said im not allowed to see him no more but my sisters can but im scared that he will do the same too them as he did too me. I cant trust men anymore because of him and when some tries to hug me i back away and my dad is really upset because we used to be really close.

i will post again soon as im getting upset now.

You have every right to be fearful for your sisters. Your mother's choice to leave your sisters in this man's care is not a good one. Talk to your mother again; and if she doesn't listen to your concerns, please tell the authorities what he did to you, because he WILL offend again. Contact ChildLine on 0800 1111. That's not enough
by: Mike

Just keeping you away from him isn't good enough. If he can't have you, he will abuse someone else. You need to tell the authorities. See if your mother will take your side and go with you, but if she doesn't, you go anyway. He is a child molester and child molesters aren't one-time abusers.

You know what unwanted abuse is all about
by: maurice

Char: you are a great Sister, I am certain of that from what you write here in darlene's site: You want to safeguard your sisters from this Monster of an abuser: Oh yes, he is, you know that and you are a biiger and stronger person/girl now than when he abused you: He took advantage of you: Please get your Mam to accept your truth about this not good step-brother: If he cuffed you to the bed he will do it to other innocent and vunerable children and that could include your sisters: Don't be scarec of him, you will have all the love and affection and protection from him in your home with your mother and siaters: She'll believe you Char: If you find you are getting no where with telling her then you owe it to your sisters to tell someone who will protect them from him: Maybe a counsellor at school: An Aunt your trust: A friend who knows how caring and thoughtful you are whom you told what he did to you: With there help you'll be safe, they'll be safe: You are a very tallented and gifted girl Char: You sure are intelligent as is obvious from how you related so articulaetly you put it to darlene and her visitors: Her words to you are personal: from her heart, should be a great help to you in being courageous and brave in telling on your Abusing step brother: I am sure now you are sorry your mam introduced you to him: He misused her trust in him, she thinking it would be nice for you to know each other: She meant well but you know what he did to you was not right: He needs to be put away and taken away from being around children especially your sisters; Please Char, you'll do what you know to be right to do to safeguarding them: Becaue they are your little beautiful darling sisters: You know best Char: Always believe in yourself: Have a healthy mind in a healthy body: I will: I can: I must: becaue I am WORTH it:
