You're being a good sister to be watching out for your little brother. I'm delighted you are now in a safe place and that you were able to get at least some justice for what your abusive father did to you. I am concerned that you might blame your sister for all the she was given by your father. Edel, you don't know what you don't know. You have no idea why your father "favoured" her. There could very easily have been inappropriate conduct on his side. But mostly, your father is the one who did what he did, to your sister, to you and to anyone else. I hope you'll consider some type of counseling to help you with the effects of such abuse. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

How dare he!
by: Anonymous

Edel, I can't believe your so-called dad chose to abandon you and subject you and you sister to favoritism (in which he considers your sister a "favorite")...how dare he! You deserved so much better than what he did to you; you deserved a father who would love you and your siblings the same. He is so twisted and messed up in his head that he doesn't know how to even take care of himself, not to mention be a father to you. Oh, and what he did to you for borrowing one of your sister's toys from your sister and playing with said toy was a cowardly thing to do because only a coward would do such a thing like that to such a helpless little girl you once were. However, I'm glad your friend is with you now because that friend is so sweet for doing that!
