Helping others deal with the fear you felt is turning pain into power. When, through personal experience, we understand why others feel the way they do, we can choose to make a difference. I commend and applaud that you want to make a difference. Dealing with the pain of abandonment and betrayal is important too. When you do, the pain will let go of you. I send you love, light and healing energy, Brittany. Keep with your plans to make a difference in the world. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Your spirit is the way
by: Peter Schmedding

Hi Brittany,

Whenever I hear about cases where bad experiences are turned into actions that are healing, for self and ever so often others as well, I really feel good. So often we hear about stories where the only outcome is defeat and complaints. Of course such conduct by a parent is as you disclosed is disgusting, despicable and criminal. Of course it hurts and the memories leave a bitter taste in one's mind. Our societies still have to learn that secrecy and confusion going back to a child's earliest days may well be the causes of such inappropriate behaviour much later – in adulthood.

Brittany, I could only wish there were more people like you in the world, people who have the courage and determination to, as you said, give other children the courage to fight back. that is one step toward creating a better world. My best wishes go with you.
