You have nothing to feel shame for. You coped in the only way you knew how; and when you knew better, you did better. For that you can be so proud. I'm delighted that you've found friends you can trust and share with, and that you've found healing for yourself. If the abusive things that happened to you as a child continue to haunt you, then please consider some form of counselling in order to help you deal with the repercussions. You're certainly worthy of that kind of help. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
