I'm delighted that your mother came back for both of you and that she made a life for you that was good. And how courageous it was for you to tell. I commend and applaud you for that courage.

The blame, shame and guilt about what happened to your sister at the hands of a sick, hateful pedophile for a father is HIS to bear. Not yours. You were a child. You were vulnerable. HE had all the power. And he misused that power in a vile way. He used his relationship with you against your little sister. He used your vulnerabilities against both of you. None of this is on you. Your strength of character shines through in that you came to realize what that sick excuse of a man had actually done by coercing you against your sister. Please stop blaming yourself. Give yourself a break. You were a child. When you knew better you did better. As for helping your sister, you can only help her if and when she wants that help. She had free will that you simply cannot interfere with. Hard as you might try. Difficult as that may be to accept. If and when she does come to you for help, be supportive but not out of guilt. Encourage her to seek out whatever help she needs. Go with her if that's what she wants. In the meantime, seek out whatever healing modalities there are that can help you deal with the shame and guilt. You deserve that kind of healing. I send you and your sister love, light and healing energy, Anonymous. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
