Child Abuse Story From Annie

by Annie
(Corsicana, Texas, USA)

I'm only 13!!! I was only a baby when this started. My dad would fight with my mom and throw her around. Eventually, I had to live with my dad. I hated it.

When I was 5 years old, my dad would go out and drink every night. He had a friend to stay with me every time. I was very imaginative at that time, so I'd imagine that there were ghosts around and then run to my dad's friend. He would tell me to climb in bed and take my clothes off. At that time, I was that dumb. I did what he asked. Even now, I remember him telling me to spread my legs open and stuff like that.

I turned 7, and once again I was left at home with him. In the middle of the night, my dad's friend woke me up and tried to do our "routine." I told him to get lost. He started to abuse me. When my dad came home that day, he saw the scars. I told him what happened. My dad got in a fight with him. The man called me a slut and left. My dad eventually sent me to my grandmother's. My dad would not ever talk to him again......unless he was drunk.

Now that I'm thirteen, I know that I'll always keep that memory forever.

Perish the thought-you were NOT dumb!
by: Darlene Barriere - webmaster

My goodness Annie, at five years old, you could NOT have been expected to know any better. You shouldn't have been put in that situation. What happened to you should never have happened. Don't ever call yourself dumb for the way you handled yourself with this sex offender. He molested you; and that makes him responsible, not you. You were a child; he was the adult. Do not continue for one more second to blame yourself! Keep telling yourself: It wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault. IT WASN'T MY FAULT.

What remarkable strength you displayed at seven years old when you told this perverse child sex offender to get lost. The gall of this sick excuse of a human being, calling you a slut for HIS atrocious conduct; how dare he! He should be in prison for what he did to you.

Annie, your father should have been there to protect you and keep you safe. He owed you that much; he failed miserably in his parental duties. He should have seen that the man he trusted to take care of you while he was out drinking was taking advantage of you and hurting you; but his drinking was more important to him. I sincerely hope you are getting some form of counselling for the emotional trauma you are dealing with. You need that release. You deserve that release. I also hope that you are now in a safe place with your grandmother.

oh....
by: Anonymous

Oh... I feel very, very bad 4 you. I am only twelve and I haven't had anything like that done to me. I hope that you don't feel ashamed about that because you did nothing wrong. You were only a little girl who was frightened by 'ghosts'. You should not have been beaten when you told him to get lost but that is in the past. I hope you are happy now at your grandmother's housse!
