I'm delighted you removed your Self from that unsafe environment and that you are now in a safe place. It's not unusual for parents to be in denial of their abusive ways. And it's even quite common for parents of certain ethnic backgrounds to believe that their abusive ways are perfectly acceptable, not understanding that hitting, spitting, belittling and name-calling is completely unacceptable. Please consider some form of counselling or therapy before you get married. If you don't you will bring that pain into your relationship, and that relationship will suffer. You didn't deserve to be abused. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you were. I send you love, light and healing energy, Alyssa. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Alyssa, your parents are deeply troubled and sadistic; they can't be trusted, based on what they did. As for your sister, she can't be trusted either because she's either brainwashed or simply groomed to be a bully to you. Oh, and you are none of those nasty, soul-stripping lies. That's not even discipline; that's just abuse. You are not to blame for their sadistic, ignorant behavior; they are to blame. I'm glad your husband is with you now because he's so sweet for doing that; I just hope you try counselling and that you look into reporting your abusers as well.
