Child Abuse - Parent Let Little Boy's Teeth Rot

by Name Undisclosed
(Location Undisclosed)

I am disgusted with a relative of mine who let her preschooler's teeth rot..by feding him junk food all his five years of life and he just had to have a molar removed and 8 cavities filled. She continues to be a big lazy fat slob and feed him junk. I want to do something to save the littel boy but I am scared of the relatives. :(

When we do nothing, we are enabling abuse...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

If you know that this boy's teeth rotted as a result of neglect and you live in Canada, you have a legal obligation to report this case. The fear you have of your relatives cannot trump your responsibility to this little boy who cannot speak for himself. If you don't speak on his behalf, who will? I do wonder how it is that a dentist wouldn't clue in to the fact that this kind of neglect is actually child abuse. Please report what you know and suspect. Thank you for sharing this story with my visitors and me.
