You are NOT helpless...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Summer, there are others besides your principal to report this to. You can tell a parent, a trusted adult, or better yet, you can report this yourself. For the Island of Oahu, the 24-hour number to contact to report abuse is 808-832-5300. You and your friends do not have to continue to live with abuse at the hands of your teacher.

I also urge you to contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453). They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting; and I strongly recommend you DO report this teacher. He shouldn't be allowed to teach; but if you continue to stay silent, he will continue to teach and the abuse will also continue, and perhaps even escalate.

Summer, I understand your fear, and so does your teacher. He's counting on that fear. He's banking on that fear, knowing that as long as you are afraid of not being believed, he can continue to get away with his abusive actions. But you, Summer, are NOT helpless. You have the power to act. Report this abusive teacher. And keep reporting until you find someone who will help you. You and your friend are worth it.

I'm so sorry
by: Francine

Summer, I'm so sorry that your teacher liked to hurt you and your friend. Your teacher sure is a twisted, wretched man who enjoyed the psycholigical and physical pain of others! I'm also sorry that you don't have a good teacher. Well, most of my teachers argue and yell at me, but they haven't done more than that! You and your friend might want to call the police on your so-called teacher because he should've been in prison for the rest of his miserable little unimportant life! He doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as anyone else does! You and your friend might also want to try counselling. Take care, Summer.

" TELL SOMEONE!
by: Linda

Summer, if you don't feel that the principal will help you, then tell your parents on this bulling teacher before he does worse. He sounds like a child molester too. Call your school board or tell another teacher you have trust in. Just report this creep to someone so he won't go unpunished. My best to you and good luck to you. You are a brave young woman for asking for help for this abuse that's happening to you and your friend.
